Non-Slam Check Valves close without slamming the body of the valves. There are different material grades used and different dimensions available to these valves. The valve has  a body and a disc that has a spring against the opening pressure of the liquid inside it which allows the no slam check valves to operate without slamming while opening and closing the pipeline. These valves are useful in vertically running pipelines as they are prone to slamming when the direction of flow is downwards. The applications of the different types of valves such as the non slam axial check valve include gas and liquid pipelines, product tank farms, mine dewatering, water treatment, cryogenic applications, cooling towers, gas export facilities and many others.

The temperatures and pressures for operations are specified by the different standards according to ASME, ANSI and other international standards. The sizes and dimensions of the axial flow non slam check valve vary from ½ inches through 24 inches and above depending on the customer requirements. These valves are made up of different material grades catering to the needs for corrosion resistance, strength and pressure capacities. The non slam spring assisted check valve has a spring in the disc that allows the valve to open and close against the pressure of the pipeline without slamming. The pressure numbers of the valves range from PN10 through PN16 and higher. The smaller sized valves have high pressure capacities than the larger non slamming valves.
