PTFE Diaphragm Valve operates with a manual control or an automated control. The most applications are found in the food and beverage systems, semiconductor, pharmaceutical and in biotechnology industrial applications. The ptfe lined diaphragm valve controls the flow by means of a diaphragm inside the valve body. There is a hole in the diaphragm which opens and closes to open and close the valve. The PFA Diaphragm Valve is coated with the synthetic PFA polymer on the inside of the valve body. The valve body is made up of different material types such as stainless steel, ductile iron, carbon steel, cast iron and other high alloy materials. The selection of the material for the making of the pfa lined diaphragm valve depends on the material used in the pipeline.

The corrosive material lines require highly anticorrosive materials to make the valve body. The PTFE coating however eliminates the need for anticorrosive materials as the coating itself is corrosion resistant.

 

The valves range in size from ½ inches to 24 inches and pressures varying from 150lbs to 900lbs. There are PTFE Stainless Steel Diaphragm Valve types that are used in most industries. However, the diaphragm material is different for different applications. Although there are special applications that use the coated valves, the water lines, oil and gas, petrochemical and petroleum industries also use the coated valves in the transmission lines.
