Lubricated Plug Valves are one type of plug valves that use lubricants to reduce the friction and to seal the ports. The lubricant is injected in between the plug face and body seat under pressure. The Lubricated Pressure Balanced Plug Valves are used in gas pipelines and are used with bypass valves and blow down valves. These are used in valve stations and kicker valves. The plug valves have a handle that is connected to a central axis. The central axis holds a plug inside it. The Inverted Pressure Balanced Lubricated Plug Valves are also used in special systems. The lubricants used are often base oils or viscosity improvers. The body of the valve is cone shaped or cylinder shaped and the plug is rotated inside the body. The passages are usually hollow and are horizontally placed for ease of flow.
