Reducing Valves or pressure reducing valves are used in fluid flow systems to control the pressure by reducing the outlet pressure. The valve is a complicated design with pressure adjusting screw, two springs, adjustable orifice and a diaphragm. The Reducing Radiator Valves are used in radiators to reduce the pressure. The inlet pressure is controlled by allowing the liquid inside a chamber. The chamber volume is controlled by the diaphragm which could be moved up and down. The movement of the diaphragm controls the volume and therefore the pressure inside the chamber. The liquid is then released into the outlet with controlled pressure. The Reducing Ball Valves use balls instead of diaphragms to control the pressure.
