Double Eccentric Butterfly Valves have butterfly shaped gates and two offsets. The valve has a body which seats the gate, a threaded stem which connects to the handle and the handle outside the body. The butterfly valves do not operate like ordinary gate valves. The Double Eccentric Butterfly Valve Advantages include that the valve gate is always inside the body and is not lowered or raised during operations. This avoids water hammer effect on the valve gate. The gate is designed with a disc connected to an axis which gives a look of a butterfly. The double eccentric valve has a floating seat construction. This has a bidirectional sealing which avoids backflow. The Double Eccentric Butterfly Valve Metal Seated combination allows for high performance under elevated temperatures and pressures.

The valves come in wafer type, lug type and in double flange types. The range of the dimensions are governed by the different standards and there are valves ranging from 2 inches to 48 inches with DIN 50 to DIN 1200. The pressure capacities of the Stainless Steel Double Eccentric Butterfly Valves range between PN16 to PN25. But there are optional dimensions and pressure capacities that could be produced upon request by the customers. The standard seat material and the Alloy steel Double Eccentric Butterfly Valves body material could vary. There are PTFE coated and other type of finishes available to the valves for corrosion resistance and long lasting life. The Inconel B673 valves can withstand temperatures up to 500 degrees Celsius.
