ASTM A351 Gr. CF3M Valves are made up of a material with 21% chromium max and 13% nickel max. These elements along with carbon, manganese, silicon, sulfur, phosphorus and 3% molybdenum in the composition provides the material with excellent corrosion resistance, strength and high temperature capabilities. The valves range in type, size and shape. The ASTM A351 Gr. CF3M Reducing Valves are used to reduce the flow of liquids inside the system. The flow rate is controlled by opening and closing the valve partially. This is useful in controlling the pressure of a system. The sa 351 gr cf3m Gate Valves are made with gates. The gate valves operate slowly and they avoid water hammer effects as the gates enter and exit the fluid gradually and not at once.

However, for high viscous liquids, knife gate valves are preferred. The asme sa 351 gr cf3m Cryogenic Valves are valves that can operate under very low temperatures, well before -49 degrees Celsius.
The valves of this material grade can operate ranging from cryogenic temperatures up to 870 degrees Celsius. The ASTM A351 Gr. CF3M Ball Valves use a ball for the fluid flow control mechanism. The size, dimensions and the pressure capacities of the valves vary. The valves can range from 2 inches to 48 inches with the pressure numbers ranging from PN6 through PN64.
