ASTM A217 Gr. C12A Valves are made up of carbon, manganese, silicon, sulfur, phosphorus, 9 chromium and 1 molybdenum in the composition. The valves are used for high pressure steam applications. The operating temperatures can range above 595 degrees Celsius. The astm a217 gr c12a Gate Valves use a gate that is connected to a stem and a handle connected to the wheel. The wheel is rotated to lower and raise the stem up and down the body. The gate closes and opens the valve. There are different types of valves such as gate valves, trunnion ball valves, plug valves and diaphragm valves.

The c12a alloy Trunnion Ball Valve uses a trunnion and a ball. The ball is used to control the fluid flow inside the valve body. The valves come in different sizes and dimensions ranging from ½ inches to 48 inches.
The pressure capacities of the valves vary according to the different standards as well. The sa 217 gr c12a Plug Valves use a plug for the control of the fluid flow. The plug can be made up of stainless steel or other materials depending on the application and the fluid flowing inside the pipes. There are different pressure ratings for the asme sA217 grade c12a Diaphragm Valves. The valves can operate up to 2500lbs based on the size and application nature.
